COMMENTARY:
-- William lived at Summit Lawn for 35 years. Around 1942 they built a home on West Emmaus Ave. William was employed as a maintenance man for the Hotel Traylor. He was also a conductor for the Trolley Freight line and was the first to make the trip from Allentown to Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia. He was also employed as a night foreman for the U.S. Express Co. He was a member of Odd Fellows lodge No. 847 and of Salem Evangelical and Reformed Church.
-- Emma was a member of the Allen Hamilton council No. 28 of the DAR and of Salem Evangelical and Reformed Church.
-- A newspaper article of her 50th wedding anniversary gives Emma's maiden name as "Fenstermaker". However, other sources, including the church baptismal records of her children, show her maiden name as "Heffner".
-- Anna Elisabeth died in infancy and was buried in West End Cemetery, Allentown. The date of birth on her tombstone is 23 January 1912 but the church record of her baptism shows that she was born 29 January 1912.
