The following is the Author's understanding (as related by Father, William Giering) of the birth of Carol Giering on July 3, 1967 in Allentown. Carol was born of Richard (William's Brother) and Carolyn. Carolyn was Ill with Cancer and Husband Richard could not take care of an additional child (Carolyn died within three years). Almost simultaneously William (AKA Bill) and his wife MaryJane had a child Donna at the 97th General Hospital in Frankfurt Germany. Billy accepted responsibility for Carol and Carol's birth certificate was changed to having William and MaryJane as the parents. This even though the true blood parents were Richard and Carolyn.
