COMMENTARY: Notes for Delbert Maxwell:
Delbert grew up on the Maxwell Homestead in Plaingrove Township, Lawrence County, Pa. The house was built in 1840 (or as early as 1830 from a different source) and is still standing in 1999. It is now occupied by the KIND family. Delbert's great uncle, Col. Norman J. Maxwell was brevetted a Brigadier General during the Civil War.
