Joyce G. Scholle
Yorkville
    Joyce G. Scholle, age 67, of Yorkville, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 16, 1945 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 20, 1927 in Middletown, New York, the daughter of Horton and Mildred (Holmes) Giering.
    She was united in marriage on December 10, 1955 in Middletrown, New York to Harold C. Scholle. Joyce was a graduate of Cornell University and attended Graduate School at Simmons University, where she received her M.S.W. degree. She was formerly employed for 10 years as a psychiatric social worker by the LaGrange School District #105. Joyce will be remembered for her work with the children and the loving concern she demonstrated to the many families she came in contact with. She always had time for others which was well demonstrated by her community involvement. She served on the Kendall County 708 Mental Health Board, the Kendall County Child Advocacy Advisory Board, Mutual Ground Board, and was a former President of the Yorkville Woman's Club. In addition to her many other interests, she was a true partner to her husband, Dr. Harold C. Scholle, the former Superintendent of the Yorkville School District. Joyce was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and her legacy of love will always be with those who were lucky enough to know her.
    She is survived by her husband, Harold,of Yorkville; her two children, Kurt Holmes (Julia) Scholle, of Downers Grove, and Mae (Michael) Scholle Behm, of Downers Grove; two grandchildren, Justin and Erica Behn of Downers Grove; as well as her sister, Marjorie (Peter) Giering Bush of Ohio.
    She was preceded in death by her parents.
    A memorial Service will be held on Sunday,, May 21, 1995 at 2 p.m. at the Yorkville Congregational Church with the Reverend Joy Baumgartner officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date.
    Friends may call on Friday, May 19, 1995 from 3 to 8 p. m. at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, Illinois.
    Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, or Mutual Ground, Inc. of Aurora.
