OCCUPATION:Various during Depression. Opened and operated Giering's Restaurant, 313 Main Street, Emmaus. 1940 thriugh 1948.

ADDRESS:
-- Harold and Ruth lived at 537 Gordon Street, Allentown (1922-23 - possible)
-- Harold, together with his Father, Edgar, built his home at 401 N 4th Street, Emmaus in 1928. He and Marguerite lived there until the mid 1930's when they (with their family) moved to south Elm Street. -- In 1940, they opened Giering's Restaurant, 313 Main Street also in Emmaus. They lived in an apartment on the second floor of the building.

-- Ruth - Served in Woman's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) during WW II.

The two above photo's are related. The left is a full photograph taking in the living room of the apartment above Giering's Restaurant about December, 1943. Two photos were taken and one was given to Ruth. She apparently used it to "cut and paste" the composite photo on the right.

Based on an assumption of ages of children (Sandy appears to be about four or five), the photo was taken about late summer 1939.
