GIERING, Mrs Howard, Funeral last Thursday

Giering, Blanche Elaine, Wife of Lewis Howard Giering, Died April, 1935. Member of Emlenton Presbyterian Church.

L. Howard Giering of Hiland St, Emlenton died at 7:30 AM Monday of a heart attack, suffered as he prepared to leave for hunting.
A son of Tilghman & Evelyn Levier Giering, he was born Mar 8, 1876 in Giering Mils.
He operated a flour and feed mill for a number of years and later worked as a salesman for the Porterfield Store in Emlenton and the Lambert-Snyder Clothing Store.
He and A. N. Lynn opened a General store on Main Street, Emlenton and operated it until the fire of 1946 when he retired.
He was a member of the Emlenton Presbyterian Church and Emlenton IOOF lodge.
Mr. Giering was first married to Blanche Shield who died Apr. 1, 1935 and was married Jul. 30, 1938 to Grace King of Emlenton who survives.
Surviving also is a sister Irene Giering of Emlenton. The body is at the family home.
